We were delighted to have the Lord Mayor and first citizen Cllr Kate Nicholl in Kingsbridge Private Hospital today (Thursday 8th July 2021) to visit our nine nurses from Africa and to welcome them to the City.
Seven of the nine are from Zimbabwe with the other two from Nigeria and Ghana. All have come to NI to live and work in Belfast, something that resonates with our Lord Mayor personally. The Lord Mayor commented, “I was so delighted to meet and welcome this wonderful group of nurses, and to thank them for the contribution they are making to the health service here.”
All nine nurses recently passed their OSCE Nursing Exams after being mentored by colleagues and are working in our wards and theatres where they will be contracted for 5 years.
