Kingsbridge Hospital facilities are constantly evolving to provide patients with more comprehensive and convenient care. One such innovation is the integration of a GP-Led Minor Injuries Clinic within our General Practice (GP) surgery.
This service offers a valuable resource for patients who need prompt treatment for non-serious injuries, allowing them to avoid long waits at the emergency department (ED) and receive care in a familiar, accessible setting.
Our GP-Led Minor Injuries Clinic is a specialised service that treats a variety of non-serious injuries. These clinics are staffed by experienced healthcare professionals, including GPs and nurse practitioners, who are trained to handle minor injuries quickly and effectively. The goal is to provide immediate care for injuries that do not require the advanced resources of a hospital ED.
Patients can call 028 9066 7878 and select option 1 to 'Book Appoitment' then select option 2 ‘Book a GP Appointment'. You will be put through to a dedicated GP admin team where you will be triaged and offered an appointment within the same day.
If you are diagnosed with a fracture, and require a follow up this will be offered within 7 days of the initial visit. Should you require an x-ray, the GP will have the result the same day.

Opting for our GP-Led Minor Injuries Clinic over a hospital ED can have several advantages:

Rapid Treatment Access: Available Monday - Saturday (9am - 5pm)* for treatment, scans and onward referral if required.

At Kingsbridge Diagnostic and Treatment Centre, our GP-Led Minor Injuries Clinic provides you with an appointment with one of our private GPs who have experience in the diagnosis and treatment of minor injuries.
Should you require further investigations or treatments, our highly trained team of Nurses, Radiologists and Orthopaedic Consultant Surgeons will be available to assist on the same day.
Patients will have access to state-of-the-art diagnostic technology including MRI, X-Ray and Ultrasound. Simple fractures can be diagnosed, splinted, and referred, if necessary. Should you need surgery then you are in the right hands!

"My first knee replacement was October 2023, and this was done the manual way. The pre and post op was fantastic for both! There was almost no pain in my hip or rest of my body after the second surgery which was a huge difference compared to my first knee. I was able to continue my physio as normal and I noticed I had more movement a lot sooner with my second knee, the robotic assisted. I could not thank the staff enough and Mr McCaffrey for how kind and understanding, attentive they were. From the beginning, I felt heard, and understood. The nurses, the caterers, the physios, the doctors, pharmacists, it is top class care! Overall, in summary, I would highly recommend going for robotic assisted. It’s still a serious surgery, so pain is to be expected and recovery is not going to be rosy, but it is worth it. The relief I have now in both knees, walking without that bone-on-bone pain, I am grateful. And the robotic assisted was a noticeably less painful, faster recovery.
