Due to continued expansion and increased workload, Kingsbridge Medical Diagnostics have created a new opportunity for an additional Radiographer in our facility on the Lisburn Road, Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced radiographer or recent graduate.

Job Summary

To actively participate in the provision of a high quality, effective and efficient Imaging Service. The post holder will ensure that high standards of service and care are maintained in accordance with the Company ethos and practice.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  1. To set and maintain high standards of clinical imaging and personalised patient care.
  2. To work independently, exercise personal responsibility and maintain a strong clinical commitment and professional development in accordance with professional CPD requirements.
  3. To act independently in the assessment of referrals for general radiography and fluoroscopic examinations, taking responsibility for the justification in line with Employers Procedures, Local rules and IR(ME)R 2018.
  4. To work as part of a team and promote multidisciplinary team working.
  5. To maintain a high level of expertise in the safe operation of X-Ray equipment and manage faults effectively.
  6. To actively participate in Audit and Quality Assurance to maintain effective Clinical Governance.
  7. To act as a source of expert knowledge providing clinical and technical training/advice as required.
  8. To maintain accurate patient records by input of accurate information to reflect the service provided and meet professional standards.
  9. To comply with legislative and Company policies and procedures.
 
Management Duties:
  1. Ensure development and maintenance of Policy and procedure to ensure best practice.
  2. To assist in the smooth operation of an efficient Imaging service on a daily basis by effectively organising and coordinating tasks and resources.
  3. To maintain accurate and concise records to provide the data necessary for the evaluation and development of the service.
  4. To undertake the duties of the post in accordance with the relevant policies, including the Health and Safety at Work Order (1978) and Ionising Radiation regulations (NI) 2017 and the IR(ME)R (NI) 2018.
 
Personnel Duties:
  1. To participate in mandatory training and actively pursue CPD, maintaining an up to date knowledge of technological advances to promote a culture of continual improvement.
  2. To assist in staff orientation and induction programmes for new members of radiographic staff.
  3. To consider staff welfare, identify training needs and assist in the development and delivery of effective educational programmes.

Qualifications
  • BSc Radiography/DCR(R) or equivalent.
  • HCPC Registration at time of appointment.
  • CT or MRI experience.
Training
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Willingness to undertake training and development, when necessary.
 
Experience
  • Graduate applicants welcome.
  • Orthopaedic experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year’s post qualification experience.
